UPB 2.2.4 Update

The details of v2.2.4 have changed.

All the bug and security fixes in the previous post will be included plus all bugs introduced by the security fix in v2.2.3 will be fixed.

The new features introduced will be

New Features
--------------

• Version number displayed in footer
• New BB code buttons by Nightmare
• Removed some BB code buttons for signatures and forum descriptions (lists and videos)
• Page navigation rewritten and working at the bottom as well as the top and on the forum topic lists
  
• Removed ICQ, MSN, Yahoo and AIM logos from profile editing to make it easier for skinning
• Avatar image size check for linked and local images
  

All the other features mentioned before will be included in the release after this one.
I've decided to make these changes in order to release the v2.2.4 as soon as possible.

I can't give a release date as it depends on when I get to spend time on working on it.

Welcome to my first blog post.

I'm going to try to keep you updated with the progress of the next version of myUPB which is tentatively numbered 2.2.4

Here is a list of new features and bug fixes that will be included in the next release.
Some of them have been completed, some of them have not.

Bug Fixes

• Minor bug in upb.initialise.php.

• Stripped slashes on config page.
• Attach file section of form is not displayed if filesize and/or location is 0 or not set and dependent of new forum permissions.
• Fixed broken signature preview
• Javascript detection bugs fixed.
• Attached file information no longer disappears after Quick Edit
• Fixed new category order not being displayed correctly after changing
• Fixed wide images breaking forum layout
• New topic creation now redirects to the topic rather than the forum
• Fixed wide text breaking forum layout
• Foreign languages now work when using Quick Edit and Topic Title editing
• Fixed possible bug with IIS not using $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] properly

This list of new features is now finalised.
Any other requests will be implemented in following versions.

As for a release date, there is no release date set apart from 2009.
Due to a change in circumstances I have less time to work on myUPB but it will be released sometime this year.
