UPB 2.2.6 Released

Hello everybody,

Today the UPB Team is pushing out release 2.2.6 to address a serious security vulnerability, where an attack could gain unauthorized administrative privileges though the IP logger. If you are running any version of UPB, we strongly recommend upgrading to 2.2.6.

All the promised features from Clark will have to wait until the next release (sorry!)

Work on the next update has started already.

A potential flaw in the installation/update script and a major bug in the PM system has been discovered.

I have removed 2.2.4 from release and should have a fix out later today.

I also forgot to include Nightmare's new BBcode buttons which will be added.

UPB 2.2.4 Released

UPB 2.2.4 has been released at last.

I nearly tore my hair out (what's left of it) after finding some pretty major bugs in my new update system but I got them fixed.

Now I can kick my heels back and relax for a couple of weeks at least.
Got a holiday planned for next week. Hopefully any problems will have been ironed out by then.

Time for another update seeing as it's been a while.

Still working on the update.....someone pointed something out to me which prompted me to run a test on my development version.

Unfortunately this revealed that posting images was broken....d'oh!

In the meantime I was able to fix the broken backup zip file download :)

Still no definitive release date yet but I'll know more once I have this image display bug fixed.

UPB 2.2.4 Update

The items are slowly being ticked off the list.

Just a couple left to do then there's testing the whole system and creating the install and update scripts.

A couple of new things to add to the list of changes.

The dreaded bug has been fixed along with all foreign language characters.
Sending a PM from the PM system rather than having to find a user and click on the Send PM button has been added.
The IPlog view now has download and delete options courtesy of Jono and working pagination.

Once again, I can't give a definitive release date but hopefully it'll be sometime this month.
Perhaps even an Easter Bunny.......there won't be any Easter Eggs in it though.

The details of v2.2.4 have changed.

All the bug and security fixes in the previous post will be included plus all bugs introduced by the security fix in v2.2.3 will be fixed.

I'm going to try to keep you updated with the progress of the next version of myUPB which is tentatively numbered 2.2.4

MyUPB Expansion

Hello Users, both old and new!

You might have noticed something more than a bulletin board and a wiki here at MyUPB.com. We've expanded our site to include a news blog, so you can more easily see announcements and developments. You can use the news blog to track new releases and patches more easily. I hope we will even feature modifications (mods) on here, if users like you are interested and develop for the MyUPB platform.

In addition to this news blog, we've added a developers group/mailling list to the site. Developers, customizers, and skinners are all welcome to sign up to the group. Even if you don't have anything to contribute, but are interested in learning more about the inner works of MyUPB or the future road maps for MyUPB, the developers group is here for you.

With these expansions to MyUPB, we still have a documentation site for UPB, TextDB, Knowledge Bases, as well as a support forum which doubles as our demo version of MyUPB. Be sure to check them out!
